Made at the turn of the spring season, this cameraless 16mm film was created over several visits to X̱á7elcha (Lynn Creek), submerging strips of film beneath the river’s surface and exposing them from above to capture ever-shifting light refractions. Developed using site-specific plant-based chemistries, the work embraces a cyclical process in which changing environmental conditions continually reshape the image and soundtrack.
